I took my first photos about 15 years ago. I used a pocket camera with a fix focus lens, but unfortunately the overall image quality was rather bad. The photos that I'm left with are a bit poor.
In 1999, I borrowed a Canon Prima Super 115 from my mother. Although it was again a compact camera, its quality was very good. I made the photos of Sardinia with it (see some of the landscapes in my album).
In the beginning of 2003, I bought myself a reflex camera. I wanted a solid camera that had enough settings to experiment with, and I chose a Canon EOS 30. That body was - according to several reviews - a good and reasonably priced choice.
After a while, I bought a Canon EOS 20D digital body, followed by its successor, the Canon EOS 40D.
Equipment
Bit by bit my equipment expands. I try to buy affordable but nonetheless qualitative products that will - hopefully - have a life cycle of several years.
